The picture frame for the moment when great art deserves an equally great frame. Handcrafted from solid hardwood, featuring a corner joint typically found only in specialist framing workshops.

Solid Hardwood with Contrasting Spline Corner Joints

Each corner is reinforced with a visible hardwood spline—a contrasting wood insert that strengthens the miter joint while creating a distinctive design feature.

Each frame is paired with a contrasting spline:

  • Walnut frame · Maple spline

This method is significantly more demanding than a simple glued miter, but it produces a frame that is noticeably stronger and built to last. For us, it’s the difference between a mass-produced frame and one that truly delivers on its promise.

Every wood species has its own unique grain and character—from the light, warm tones of Maple and Alder to the rich depth of Walnut and Cherry. All woods are FSC-certified.

Always Included

Every Gallery Frame To Go comes standard with anti-reflective glass and a backing board—no hidden extras, no additional charges.

Ready to hang: every frame includes hanging hardware, except for the Snap-Back version, where the hanging rail is already integrated into the inner frame.

Optional Snap-Back Inner Frame

Available as an upgrade, the Snap-Back inner frame adds structural rigidity while making your frame far more versatile. Artwork can be changed quickly without disassembling the entire frame, and the integrated hanging rail eliminates the need for additional mounting hardware.

It’s the ideal choice for anyone planning to reuse or update their frame over time.

Shipping & Collection

  • Shipping available via DHL.
  • Collection available from our showroom at Mariannenstraße 26, Berlin-Kreuzberg.
  • Glazing: UV70 anti reflective museum glass included up to 30 × 40 cm, larger sizes receive 2 mm acrylic glazing.

  • Backing: Acid free, conservation quality materials for long term protection of the artwork.

  • Frame: Made exclusively from FSC certified woods or upcycled wood sourced directly from Berlin. All frames are handmade in Berlin.

  • Hanging system: Every frame comes ready to hang.
  • Production time: Depending on the product, between 4 and 10 business days.

  • Shipping costs: Depending on weight, between €5.90 and €8.95 within Germany. EU shipping rates are calculated at checkout.

  • Tracking: You will receive a tracking link once your order has been shipped.

  • Uncollected packages: A return fee equal to the shipping costs may apply.

  • Damaged delivery: Please send photos of the frame and packaging to frameit@frameworksberlin.com. We will arrange a replacement or refund.

  • Returns: You have 14 days to return your frame if you are not satisfied.

  • Return shipping: Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Refunds are issued once the item has arrived back undamaged.
